About Bluffton Golf Cart Repair
Bluffton Golf Cart Repair is an independently operated mobile repair service: local golf cart technicians who come to your driveway, garage, or community anywhere in greater Bluffton, Sun City Hilton Head, Okatie, Hardeeville, and Hilton Head Island and fix the cart where it sits. No trailering, no shop drop-off, no waiting a week for a service bay.
Why mobile, and why here
Bluffton is one of the fastest-growing towns in South Carolina (roughly 37,000 people by the Census Bureau’s 2025 estimate, up from about 28,000 at the 2020 census) and an outsized share of those households own a golf cart. Sun City Hilton Head alone spans more than 5,700 acres and 8,000-plus homes where the cart is the default vehicle for golf, errands, and the trip to the Okatie Center. Old Town carts run Calhoun Street to the Thursday farmers market. Palmetto Bluff, Hampton Lake, Belfair, Berkeley Hall, and Colleton River all run internal streets and trails where a cart makes more sense than a car.
Almost none of those owners have a good way to move a dead cart. A cart that won’t drive won’t load itself on a trailer most owners don’t have. Mobile service isn’t a convenience upsell here. It’s the only version of this service that actually works. The truck carries the parts that fix most carts on the first visit: battery sets, solenoids, brake shoes, tires, cables, and terminals.
How we operate
- Published prices. Every range we charge is on the pricing page: battery packs, brakes, tires, chargers, controllers, tune-ups. You should be able to compare us before you ever talk to us.
- Diagnose first. Every visit starts with testing (a load test on each battery, voltage checks across the pack, charger output, solenoid and controller checks) because the cheap fix and the expensive fix often share a symptom. We quote after we know, not before.
- The trip fee works for you. The $50–$100 service call includes the on-site diagnostic and is applied toward the repair when you approve the work.
- Fix it in one visit when possible. Most battery replacements, solenoids, brake jobs, and tire sets are done the same day the truck arrives.
- Finish against the climate. Salt air off the May River and the marsh corrodes terminals and lugs faster than inland owners believe. Every job ends with terminals cleaned and coated, hardware torqued, and a test drive.
What we won’t do
We’re independent, not an authorized dealer, service center, or warranty station for Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, Evolution, or anyone else. If your cart is under factory warranty, your selling dealer is the right call, and we’ll tell you so. We won’t invent credentials, we won’t sell a battery pack when the real fault is a $150 charger board or a corroded main cable, and we won’t talk you into repairing a cart that isn’t worth the repair. That honesty costs us the occasional sale and wins us the neighborhood instead.
We also keep up with the rules our customers ride under, because since January 1, 2026 that’s part of the job: Bluffton’s specialized-vehicle ordinance requires seat belts for every occupant, a rearview mirror, an SCDMV permit decal, insurance on board, and full lighting for after-dark driving. We install and repair ordinance equipment routinely. The plain-English rundown is in our guide to SC’s golf cart permit law.
